Hi All!!! Wednesday's Trip was wonderful. Thanks to our guide, Tony, we had a great time. After our discussion on war and the watching of the movie The Last of the Mohicans, we had a good idea of what war was really like in Northwest Ohio in the War of 1812. After exploring the fort, what do you think life was like in 1812 for a soldier? Was it an easy life or a hard life? What was life like in the fort?
Would you have wanted to have been a soldier in Fort Meigs? How long did it take the soldiers to build the fort? What was the name of the most famous general at the fort at that time? Do you remember? Please share your thoughts.

ReplyDeleteI have known how to hold the gun. In 1813, Fort Meigs became the focal point of the War of 1812, which is between British and American troops. Also, the separator between them is the Maumee river. As what we have seen about the movie, which is The Last of the Mohicans, they use guns, knifes, and cannons. Like what happened in Fort Meigs. I saw many beautiful things in Fort Meigs. Also, we saw the basil in the planets. Really, it was a fantastic day.

Hey everyone, Fort Meigs is the place that we visited last week is amazing place. Actually I like that day with my classmates and my teacher. We spent around one hour there and I don’t want to leave that place. We walked around and we saw a lot of things which explained to us who people were in the war. It was helping us to learn a lot of things. I like it and I hope my class mates ether.
